The most unuseful and addictive site ever
Posted by: Fidji SIMO in Entertainment, Innovation, Internet/Technology
Sorry for my English-speaking readers (according to my stats you represent 17% of my readers!) but I will comment on a French website, one of the most unuseful ones, but I really love it: with Miniville (Minicity in English) you create your online city in one click, and then you invite people to visit it. The more clicks you get, the more money you have to develop your city, and the more industries you can create.
Thanks to Fred Cavazza for having made me discovered it. But unlike him, who already has 200 inhabitants in his city, I have only 3 in mine, and of course no habitations as you can see! So if you have pity on me and want the city “Fidjissimo” to become a touristic destination, please click here to visit it!

It looks like everybody in my syndicated blog is writing a post about Miniville… Will I follow the buzz, too ?
Of course you will! And send me your link so that I will be the first inhabitant of your city!
If you want to have a very very cool city, you should send an invitation to each person in PayPal France!
For sure I recognize your corporate fidelity to Paypal, that’s an idea, but not sure that eBay will be happy if I use eBay or Paypal database for this purpose… Other most realizable ideas to develop my city?
je n’ai pas compris le sens de ce site et à quoi il servait et ce qu’on gagnait, … Merci d’avance de tes éclaircissements.
If you didn’t understand what was the point Xavier, then you are completely normal! Because miniville is completely unuseful and absolutely pointless: you just bring people to visit your miniville, and the more visitors you get the bigger city you can build. But there is absolutely nothing to do, other than bringing visitors! But it is quite addictive because you can rapidly become really jealous of those who have a bigger city than you have… Just check this out: http://trak.miniville.fr/ (the most visited city) and you will understand that it is just like the old Tamagoshi: you want your city to look better than your neighbor’s
To copy what Carlos Diaz said: “It is unuseful, simple, viral, addictive, fun, in a word it can be a huge success!”
I wanted to speak about it because it is starting to get a lot of buzz, and if you remember well, everyone thought that Twitter was pointless at the beginning, so who knows what is going to happen?
The Net is ripe.
One even arrives has to make really useless things.
Now it is necessary to invent the self-destruction of site on line…
This can be a great idea! Go for it!
