About this blog and myself
When I was 5, I told my mum: “Mum, I want to live in the US”! Very surprised, my mum asked me why and I just answered: “Because everything there seems huge”!
Now I have the occasion to go to the US to study and work, and I think that blogging about this adventure can be interesting for multiple reasons.
First of all, because I want to convince everyone that we do not have to compound with our dreams: the realization of dreams is just linked to the amount of risks you are willing to take. I totally agreed with Nicolas Sarkozy (I know the reference is polemic but I really appreciate his focus on doing things) when he said to our famous French blogger Loïc Le Meur here that “the adolescent dreams, the adult makes; and the purpose of life is an adequacy between what the adolescent dreams and what the adult makes”.
Then, because I have a passion for entrepreneurship in general and special fields in particular (Internet, Technology). However, I can’t pretend that I am an expert, so I would like this blog to be a place of knowledge sharing especially with people who don’t know everything about the markets I am talking about, but just want to give their opinion. I’m also contributing to Tech IT Easy, a collaborative blog about technology gathering a great community of bloggers around the world.
Finally, because I consider that the adventure I am about to live - studying and working in the US - can be both fun and instructive, and I am eager to be surprised by what I will learn, even if it debunks some myths I have built my dream on. These surprises, disappointments, questionings may be worth sharing, and blogging is the best tool to do that.
So I encourage you to contribute to the posts you are interested in, and to correct my awful English if necessary (and it will be!)
Fidji SIMO.
